History
NITCO was founded in 1986 as a designer and a manufacturer of drilling rigs in Austin, Texas, U.S.A. and became one of the foremost suppliers of specialized and custom designed drilling rigs.
NITCO introduced computational FEA to its inhouse engineering and design capabilities.
NITCO became an approved ASME pressure vessel manufacturer under section VIII, division1, of the ASME code of Unfired Boilers and Pressure Vessels, adding the design and manufacturing of gas and air compressor packages, separators, pressure vessels and process equipment to the drilling rigs and tools.
NITCO was awarded a contract by the Department of Defense for the manufacturing of its ROWPU (Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit) to be used by the armed services units deployed all over the globe, adding water treatment to drilling equipment, process equipment, pressure vessels, compressor packages, and tanks.
NITCO became a custom vehicle designer and manufacturer with its own VIN assigned by SAE International and NHTSA in accordance with the Department of Transportation and federal regulations and was listed on the WMI World Manufacturers Identifiers SAE list. Vehicles designed and manufactured included Crane Carrier type for the mobile drilling rigs for on and off-road mobility, and custom designed off road vehicles used for special purpose drilling rigs used in exploration, geologic and geophysical, soil and water monitoring, soil analysis and other drilling applications.
wireless and radio proportional controls were added to panel and cable controls.
NITCO’s engineering, design and manufacturing capabilities were moved from Texas to OKLAHOMA, augmenting the existing engineering capabilities of GEFCO, SPEEDSTAR, SKYTOP-BREWSTER, OILKING, STECO, and PUMPSTAR.
